I was wondering, would it at all be possible for me to use the revamped version of Tiger Style written below here after the original style's descriptor. Just asking, because I am unsure of how much Homebrew stuff we can have here. (And because I is so squishy without armour)

Tiger Style is very strong as printed. With the right weapons, it adds +5L damage, +5+Essence lethal and bashing soak, and gives many mobility options. The capstone charm in particular is extremely powerful. In total, this form is just shy of Earth Dragon Style for sheer tankiness, and that is the tankiest style in the game. For input on the proposed revision, it is far, far too powerful. Particularly disturbing is the 4m charm that increases post-soak damage by four and converts those dice to automatic successes, then allows you to add more die at a rate of 1m per die. Even if you remove that charm, there are far too many passive upgrades to a relatively small charm tree. I do appreciate the lowered power cap on the capstone, but compared to the dramatically increased power through the entire rest of the tree, it's absolutely not viable. I'm going to deny that homebrew, and firmly - However, if the +7 - +10 increase in soak isn't enough for your character (and I would totally understand if it isn't), I can offer a number of suggestions to beef up your soak. 1) The errata'd version of Durability of Oak Meditation and its upgrade, Iron Kettle Body, are a tremendous increase to a character's soak. My character Cinder uses that combination and manages 20B/20L at scene length for 8m and Solar Hero Form. 20 soak is enough to ping almost any attack this board is currently capable of. 2) On page 159 of The Books of Sorcery, Vol III: Oadenol's Codex, a two-dot artifact called silken armor is described in detail. Silken armor is very popular on this board, since it basically turns your clothes into an artifact breastplate, doesn't interfere with martial arts, and can't be detected as armor without Essence sight. It's a great buy, and buffs your soak decently. 3) On page 80 of The Books Of Sorcery, Vol I: Wonders of the Lost Age, we have another two-dot artifact called discrete essence armor. It costs more Essence to attune, requires motes to turn on, and it becomes obvious when activated. However, it also provides more protection (higher bashing soak and also hardness) and magical material bonuses. I honestly don't know if those two armors stack with each other, but I know they explicitly stack with Iron Kettle Body. Hopefully, combined with Celestial Tiger Hide, that'll be enough to keep you alive.

I see. Thank you for the advice. Much appreciated. I'll most likely be implementing one or two of those in the future.
