Her hands whispered softly over the tall grass as she walked through the open field. She had a ship and crew in port but her heart lay elsewhere. She could feel it like an aching emptiness clawing at her soul, begging to be filled. Her love was out there somewhere and she knew it.
The small bag and men's clothes she wore were not her usual choices but they suited her needs well and the buff jacket was big enough to hide the golden razor claws on her belt. Her long black hair was stuffed beneath the wide brimmed rice hat she had bought for a few shells. It was again all for one purpose, to move unnoticed toward where she hoped the lover she missed so dearly may have been. She only hoped her lover, in whatever form she had in this age, was looking for her as well.
