Name: Ledaal Giminagi, Master of the Sanxian
Age: 54, but he still feels like a kid.
Exaltation: Terrestrial Air Aspect
Affiliations: House Ledaal, The Grand Orchestra of the Scarlet Empire
Bio: Born into House Ledaal, his parents were overjoyed when he exalted. However, unlike many of Ledaal's famed tacticians, sorcerors, and scholars, Giminagi found he had a taste for music and art over strategy and tactics. Lacking the sheer genius of many others, he still maintained the hard work and tenacity expected of a Son of the Air Dragon--and a penchant for wishing to preform and research in the strangest of place.
He was married to a nice woman in House Tepet at thirty, and they had two children --Tepet Vashra and Tepet Nosche before she was killed at war in the west. With the children in schools controlled by the Tepets, and his beloved wife laid to rest, Giminagi (Gim to his few friends) became bored with home and hearth. He now has a commission from his house to explore ruins and research music and history, and may present his work at several academies through out the empire. Admittedly, he uses this as an excuse to tour abroad, wrecking homes and writing songs and poems. However, as of late, he has wondered about the history these Anathema love to proclaim.
Now, he seeks lost lore and ancient history
Appearance: A bit more rugged than many dragon-born, Giminagi has a tendency to wear furs and leathers in the northern fashion in combiantion with Imperial silks, being particularly fond of Haslanti costume and music. The glasses are purely cosmetic, although they do help with glare sometimes. He is rarely seen with a musical instrument in his hands, or a brush for calligraphy, or some other tools. He likes to keep busy, and always eagerly researching new music and techniques. His shoes are always of durable quality, if only to keep the ground from roughing him up too much. The most notable side affect of his aspect when not channeling anima is that his hair always looks like it is being blown back, and despite his relative youth (for a dragon-blooded) he seems to always have bits of grey, sometimes even streaks, when he's outside.
Plot hooks:
- Giminagi loves his kids and would do anything for them, even if they do not continue his family name. They are 12 and 15 years of age, and he is curious if either one will exalt, as well as doting and protective.
- He has shown no opposition to being married a second time to a friendly house, should someone in his family need or desire such a liaison.
- He seeks to find first age compositions and instruments, hoping to compose an Opus that will echo through creation.
- While his wife's death was sad and properly mourned with a long dirge, Giminagi was never given a full explanation of who killed her or why. He seeks to find this out, discreetly, while searching for relics and traveling abroad.
- There was a story once told of a Lyre strung by the moon and forged by the sun, played by a dragon and tuned by a star. It is said that the first Hymn of creation is etched on that lyre. Giminagi wishes to play that song before the Imperial Manse. If anything could be said to command the spirits and re-take the throne, would it not be heaven's song?
