Consider this thread to be the general chronicle of what's going on in Creation on a large scale - part news and part plot points, things posted here are almost always invitations for players to act and affect the world around them. Since we've only just started, there isn't much going on that isn't standard to the setting! But to summarize, the Empress is gone. Mnemon is waiting. Tepet Ejava may or may not be invading the Blessed Isle. V'neef's a brat. The Solars are returning, and pretty much everybody knows that some stuff is going to go down.
Other things:
-An obscure cult called 'The Followers of the Giving Hand' has become slightly overt. They operate primarily along bush settlements and nomadic tribes in the South, recruiting members with promises of plentiful food during times of hardship, accepting payment only in the form of prayers and membership.
-A coalition of pirates led by a brazen Anathema has been plaguing shipping lines around Coral. Part of what makes them so deadly is their leader's habit of recruiting/bullying local spirits into bolstering her activities.
-The Bull in the North has shattered House Tepet's military, and brazenly offers membership in his armies for any enemies of the Realm willing to swear allegiance to his cause.
-The Guild has issued a ridiculous bounty for the capture of a purple-haired Western swordswoman last seen travelling along the River of Tears.

Big update! Things are happening! Horrible things.
-Many of the Jungle Tribes and cities of Harborhead in the South East have openly begun supporting the Cult of the Giving Hand - and the few Immaculate monks and temples in that area have been having a rough time of it. While coastal cities like Kirighast are still relatively stable, creatures of darkness and demons have become much more commonplace, and although people are being wholly corrupted by the influence of the Yozi cult, the Great Houses of the Realm are by and large disinterested in getting involved. Travel through the area for those who are faithful to the Immaculate Order or simply unlucky has become dangerous, bordering on foolishly fatal. The spirits are in chaos, gods are up in arms and becoming insular, and every day the spread of darkness grows more insidious and brazen.
-The tribes of the Linowan in the Northeast, especially the Tear Eater tribes have been long enemies of both the nations of Halta and the Haslanti League - a constant, if not deadly threat, a nation of largely primitive tribal people. Recently, that has begun to change. Although still primitive, reports and rumors spread of the Linowan fighting side-by-side with the dead, being led by dark figures of terrible power, with seemingly unlimited reserves. The deep and endless forests grow darker and more deadly with each passing day, as the Lover Clad in the Raiment of Tears has apparently thrown her support behind these savage peoples in the interest of spreading more death and despair through Creation.
-The Lions of the Snow, lead by the Bull in the North, have begun amassing for battle. The message has gone out to Icewalkers Tribes that have thus far not gotten involved with Yurgen Kaneko's war against the Realm: Join, or find the North an even more hostile place to live. The legions of the Bull are on the march, and their intention is clear - Cherak will burn, and any who are foolish enough to support the Realm in the North will be put to the sword. House Feren is desperately seeking the aid of the Great Houses in the hopes of gathering support, but the constant threat of civil war and the recent disgrace of House Tepet has made the process arduous and is it doubtful that they'll survive without help.
-The flames of Revolution in the South have spread, and turned into less a message of liberation and more one of chaotic overhaul. Bands of angry thieves and brigands fly the flag of the common people while raiding isolated villages, intermittent attacks and riots in the Lap have encouraged attacks by the tribal nomads and are stretching the armies and defenses of formally untouchable establishments quite thin. The deaths of travellers are quite common, extortion and robbery at blade and flamepiece are a well-known threat groing ever more threatening. Paragon remains largely unaffected, and the Silver Pact is helping to keep Chiaroscuro safe - but for how long, with the Cult of the Giving Hand creeping ever closer with each passing week?
